Marija is an abstract visual artist whose work reinterprets nature through layered color fields, organic forms, and subtle textures. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics, Biology, and Art History from Queen’s University, where she also completed Master's-level coursework in contemporary art. She later earned an Advanced Professional Certificate in Electronic Music Production and Sound Design from Berklee College of Music, a study that deepened her interest in rhythm, atmosphere, and sensory experience. Alongside her creative practice, Marija works in marketing and communications, a background that shapes her sensitivity to storytelling, perception, and the ways people connect with art. Drawing on both scholarly insight and lived experience, her paintings echo emotion, memory, and the layered rhythms of daily life. Her practice centers on slow, intuitive mark-making that allows each piece to unfold over time, offering viewers a contemplative and deeply personal encounter.
